We are delighted that Aviva has selected us as their Charity of the Year. The partnership went off with a bang as Aviva launched their support during National Children’s Hospice Week.

The partnership got underway in the form of a Superhero fancy dress day, raffle and cake sale. A surprise kickoff donation of £2,500 was also given to Naomi House, a spectacular gift and one which could fund long weekends for families to spend quality time together.

Later that week, an Aviva team took the crown of glory at our first Corporate Quiz for supporters across the region, congratulations!

Since the launch, Aviva staff have provided us with prizes for raffles and auctions from signed sports memorabilia to smoothie makers allowing us to raise even more money at our events.

On the horizon it looks like the partnership is set to grow and grow. During the summer, 30 members of staff will be taking over five of our charity shops to show their entrepreneurial skills, whilst another group will be pruning our gardens to make them look their best for every child, young person and parent who stay with us.

Mark Noble, sales & marketing director and executive sponsor for the community work at Aviva said, “The staff voted overwhelmingly for the new charity and we are looking forward to supporting Naomi House and the new Jacksplace, not only financially but also through staff volunteering and fundraising. We are very excited about the next 18 months.”

Lauren Shields, Corporate Fundraiser said “Aviva have already shown tremendous support for Naomi House and jacksplace. Their passion to help the hospices by donating both their time and money will make a huge difference to the families who visit us everyday.”
