A WELLY GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!
Staff at Hendy Group in Chandlers Ford join in the welly fun!
Staff from local companies have been dressing up in their brightest coloured wellies to celebrate ‘Wear Your Wellies Day’ and help Naomi House this spring. The fundraising team hope to raise £4,000 from various welly themed events across the area including a concert with Harry Bird and the Rubber Wellies at Ropley Sports Pavilion; a ‘welly wanging’ and purple pig in wellies competition at Hartley Business Park in Selborne.
Some of the companies who supported the campaign are: SCATS Countrystores who held a Wear Your Wellies Day across all 19 of their stores; STVA Marchwood and Abel &Cole, Andover who both held cake sales on their Wear Your Wellies Day; Hendy Ford; Denplan; Liz Earle Cosmetics; Glanvilles; Scottish & Southern Energy and Lakesmere Ltd who all held ‘Wear Your Wellies Days’.
Tina Starbuck, Corporate Fundraiser at Naomi House said ‘As so many of our local supporters have held ‘Wear Your Wellies’ days for us, we had our own welly event at the hospice. Some of the children helped by decorating their wellies and painting a giant wellington boot which we had on display and we had a ’ Best Decorated Boots’ competition. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed, especially SCATS Countrystores who sponsored the fundraising campaign. We certainly had a lot of fun and we hope our supporters did too’

Tina Starbuck, our Corporate Fundraiser (second from left ) organised the whole event. Love the hat Martin! We all knew where Mark, our Fundraising Director, was on the day - all we had to do was follow the trail of sparkly paint!
