The celebrate the reopening of Protyre Portsmouth in Hilsea after a £700,000 refurbishment project the company donated £1 for every sales invoice it generated during the opening weeks.

The proceeds were presented to the charity at the official branch opening.

Darren Godwin from Protyre said the children’s hospice provides a vital resource in the south. “We are delighted to be able to help Naomi House and extremely pleased that business has been so good that we raised more than £3,000,’’ he said.

“Whether a customer bought one new tyre, booked in for an MOT or used our engine diagnostics we donated £1 to this tremendous charity.’’

Professor Khalid Aziz, chairman of the Board of Trustees at Naomi House who attended to accept the cheque said “I am delighted that Protyre is once again offering its support to Naomi House.  Without the help of our local community Naomi House would not be able to offer our much needed services to children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families, who rely on our support.”
