Longcross walk their way to raising over £32,000!

John and Mark, Directors from Longcross Group Limited, walked the South West Coastal Path for Naomi House and jacksplace, please read John's excerpt about their experience:

"This year, Mark and I decided to embark on another walk to raise funds for Naomi House Children’s Hospice.

We carried on where we left off, along the South West Coastal Path in Devon, from Starcross to Torcross, a stunning walk of roughly 60 miles along a sparkling coastline.

We survived the walk and lived to tell the tale but of course the most important outcome was the very generous support we received from our families, friends, colleagues, clients and suppliers. We managed to raise £32,150.99 for this great charity.

Mark and I would like to thank Mark Smith and Deborah Spiers for showing us around jacksplace their new hospice for young adults, built because medical advances have meant that some children can now grow up to become young adults. 

Mark, Gary and I have visited Naomi House in the past when we saw for ourselves how the wonderful staff and volunteers care for the children and the support they provide for their families and loved ones. We will always remember we were able to walk in – but also walk back out again, a luxury that many of the children will never have."

We would like to say a huge thank you to Mark and John for their support of Naomi House and jacksplace.  The money they've raised will make a huge difference to the children, young people and their families that use our care services.
