Store Wars
Iconic cookware brand Le Creuset teamed up with their charity of choice, Naomi House children’s hospice, for a special one-day fundraising ‘Store Wars’ event. On the 11th June, Le Creuset staff took over four of the Naomi House charity stores with the promise that they would donate double the total sales proceeds for the day.
The ‘Store Wars’ event at the Naomi House shops in Andover, Eastleigh, Winchester and Fareham was a great success, the Le Creuset teams generating revenue of just over £4,000. With Le Creuset doubling this figure to £8,000, the brand decided to donate an additional £2,000 rounding it up to a generous donation of £10,000.
To boost sales the Le Creuset team at each of the Naomi House charity stores were set an ‘Apprentice’ style challenge to develop fun and creative activities to encourage shoppers to dig deep to raise funds for the charity which provides support to children with life-limiting conditions, and their families. Such activities included dressing up in national costume of countries in the World Cup, having Nelson the Portsmouth FC mascot on hand to rally shoppers, a bumper raffle which included John Lewis vouchers, and for every £5 spent in-store shoppers were given a free Le Creuset mug worth £9.50.
Le Creuset have supported Naomi House children’s hospice for the past three years, both to raise funds, as well as offer volunteers at the hospice. Nick Ryder, M.D. for Le Creuset says, “Our ongoing work with Naomi House is an important part of our commitment to supporting our local community. Naomi House provides vital support to families across central southern England and we are proud to be able to contribute to this crucial service in our local area of Hampshire. The Le Creuset team spent many weeks planning the ‘Store Wars’ challenge and we are delighted that the day was such a success”.
