Data Base Factory have the Perfect Pitch!

The Perfect Pitch!

The Perfect Pitch!

The entire workforce of local Ringwood company Data Base Factory got behind their charity of the year yesterday raising £1,819.91 during the working day.

The day kicked off with a 'Perfect Pitch' market stall at Ringwood market selling delicious homemade cakes to the public; a tombola also drew over crowds who could win a range of prizes, all which had been donated by clients of the generous business. It wasn’t just the public who were drawn towards the team’s enthusiasm; other market traders also got involved by buying items and donating even more prizes for the team to raise much needed funds.

Back at the office, colleagues at the call centre dressed up as animals, ballerinas and in their pyjamas and donated money to throw wet sponges at Managers to add to the total. Selling raffle prizes to clients, other local businesses and colleagues raised over £1,000 alone with the top prize being a fantastic ipad 2!

The company’s commitment to Naomi House doesn’t stop here, over the Bank Holiday Weekend a team will be doing a 100 mile sponsored cycle in one day with even more fundraising plans in the pipeline.

“I am extremely grateful for both the generosity of our clients (who donated many of the raffle prizes) and the extraordinary generosity shown by our staff to raise so much money – they baked cakes in their own time, dressed up, ran a market stall (!) and literally went “door to door” selling raffle tickets. They also paid handsomely to throw wet sponges at some of the Managers in the business (which will of course directly affect the career progress of some staff reporting into me). It was a really fun day for a really good cause.”

Lauren Shields, Corporate Fundraiser at Naomi House said “Data Base Factory’s dedication to Naomi House is incredible, the money raised so far could fund care for so many babies, children and young adults affected by life-limiting illnesses from Central Southern England.”
