Ventura Gala Launch Party

Naomi House is set to celebrate the launch of the P&O cruise ship Ventura on16 April 2008. As part of the exciting launch event Naomi House will betaking part in two incredible parties on board the ship. A special family funday in the afternoon will be an amazing opportunity for children, who visitNaomi House, together with their families to enjoy the facilities on board.

During the evening Naomi House guests will attend a fundraising gala evening which will include an innovative naming ceremony that will be led by Dame Helen Mirren.

Naomi House is delighted to be taking part in the event, as a nominated charity for the event. The sales of tickets for the gala, and fundraising activities on the night will make a valuable contribution towards the £2.5million needed to run Naomi House every year, and towards the appeal for £12million to build, equip and run jacksplace@naomihouse, the new hospice for young people that is scheduled to open on 2009.

Ventura is the largest cruise ship that has been built with families in mind. At 115,000 tonnes Ventura is more than 40 per cent larger than the P&O Cruises ship Arcadia, currently the largest built for this market.
