Bearhunting at The Co-op on November 1st !

Each of Southern Co-operatives’ stores in central southern England is selling a very special range of different cuddly bears, with £2 of the sale price of £9.99 going to Naomi House.

To celebrate the partnership with the charity, Co-op store managers will be hiding one of the bears in or near their store on Thursday 1st November. The shopper who finds it first will get to keep the bear.

“We are looking forward to seeing our shoppers enjoy some ‘ethical bear hunting’!” said Phil Ponsonby, Southern Co-operatives’ General Manager for Commercial Operations. “The bears might be waiting for a bus, or be in the local doctor’s surgery, it’s up to shoppers to try and spot them.”

He added, “We are delighted to be launching this great initiative in support of Naomi House who provide care and support for life-limited children, and their families, from Hampshire, Berkshire, Dorset, Isle of Wight and West Sussex, the areas in which we trade.”

Naomi House corporate fundraiser, Jill Livingstone, said, “This is a wonderful initiative and we are very grateful for Southern Co-operative’s continued support. With just 10% of our income coming from Government, we rely on the generosity of people in the community to continue our work, providing crucial care services, free of charge, to children and their families at a time when they need it most. ”
