Stars gather to support Naomi House

On 28th May Andy Burrows, the drummer from Razorlight, hoasted an amazing night for fans at the Union Chapel in Islington.

Andy has just released his first solo album, Colour of My Dreams, which has been dedicated to Naomi House.  The evening was themed on school days which fitted the lyrics of the album perfectly.

Andy, who is not used to being the front man, took to his new role after the first couple of tracks. "Hi, gosh this is all a bit wierd being the front man, talking to the audience", he said.  Andy soon got in his stride as he was joined on stage by freinds from bands including Muse, Guillemots, Editors and The Bluetones.  The lovely Edith Bowman from Radio 1 also helped out.

The concert gave fans an exclusive preview of a new Razorlight song, when the band performed a set at the end of the night.

Families from Naomi House went along and had a great time.  Beverley Campbell and daughter Bonnie, joined the aftershow party for photographs with the stars. Beverley was full of admiration for the efforts that Andy is making, "What a great night, and such a wonderful thing Andy is doing to support jacksplace and Naomi House", she said.

The concert has raised awareness of the need for jacksplace, a new hospice for young adults.  The hospice is due to be complete in the summer of 2009.
