Naomi House is today launching a new fundraising lottery offering people across central southern England the chance to win a top prize of £1,000 every week.
Profits from the weekly member’s lottery will go directly to helping the Hampshire-based hospice provide a home-from-home environment for children and young people with life-limiting conditions that mean that they will not live to become adults.
“With less than 1% of our income coming from government, we rely almost entirely on the generosity of people in the community. The new lottery will provide a regular and important source of income to help us continue our work and, with a £1,000 jackpot on offer every week, it means everyone can be a winner,” explains Lottery Manager, Su Guest.
Players pay £1 each week in advance for one chance to win and are given a unique six digit lottery number which is entered into the draw. Every Friday Naomi House’s lottery computer will randomly select 20 winning numbers. The first draw will take place on 28 July.
The prizes are:
There are no rollovers as only fully paid up members will be entered in the draw and the winning cheques will be sent out automatically.
The launch coincides with Hospice Lotteries Flutter Week a nationwide event to publicise almost 100 lotteries run by hospices across the UK.
