Naomi House Children’s Hospice is calling on businesses, schools and individuals to take a tea break on any day in June in a bid to raise much needed funds for the local charity.
‘Tea at 3’ is a national initiative being supported by the UK’s network of more than 220 hospices. It is a simple, sociable and fun way to raise money for your local hospice either at work, school or home.
Hazel Whitehead of Naomi House Children's Hospice says: “Tea at 3 is such a sociable fundraising event - everyone can get involved and we are hoping that both companies and individuals will hold fundraising tea parties or make a donation for their tea break. People can bring cakes into their office to sell or raffle, employers can charge for an impromptu 15 minute break and individuals can invite their neighbours round for a fund-raising cuppa.”
Naomi House is holding a competition to find the most imaginative and unusual tea party. All you need to do is take a photo of your event and in 50 words say why you should win the Naomi House ‘Tea at 3’ competition. To be in with a chance of winning a hamper full of goodies, including a selection of luxury Bendicks chocolates, contact the fundraising department on 01962 843513. Closing date is 7 July 2006.
To receive your fundraising booklet you contact the fundraising department on 01962 843513.
