New Appointment to Put Naomi House on the Map

Naomi House Children’s Hospice has appointed Rhian French as its new Communications Manager to help spread the word about its services.

Rhian has 12 years’ communications experience working in the not-for-profit, public and private sectors. She joins the Hampshire-based hospice from map makers Ordnance Survey where she worked in the press office and public affairs teams.

“I can think of no better use of my skills than to support an organisation that has such a positive impact on the lives of local families,” she says. “I have followed the progress of Naomi House with great interest since I covered the topping out ceremony by Cliff Richard as a trainee journalist. Of course you don’t have to be a celebrity to support our work and I’m looking forward to working with the whole Naomi House team as they look ahead to their 10th anniversary celebrations in 2007.”

Naomi House Chief Executive, Ray Kipling adds: “There are around 3,500 children and young people across central southern England with life-limiting conditions that mean that they will not live to become adults.  We want as many as possible to have the opportunity to use our services, making sure they know about Naomi House will be key to achieving this.”
