Every year Naomi House turns old mobile 'phones, used stamps, printer cartridges and foreign currency into fuel.
The money raised by our supporters' recycling initiatives helps towards paying for our annual fuel bill.
Please give us your old mobile phones, printer cartridges, stamps and currency. You can phone the Fundraising Office on 01962 843513 for special freepost envelopes for the phones and cartridges or why not consider becoming a collecting point for your school or workplace and deliver them to the Naomi House warehouse at Winnall.
You can send in your stamps and currency, making sure you have the correct postage on the package. Last year we raised around £21,000 from recycling - let's see if we can beat that figure this year!
So please don't bin it, bag it up and send it to our fundraising offices at Unit 3, Sun Valley Business Park, Winnall Close, Winchester, SO23 0LB.
According to recent research by the Post Office, somewhere in the region of 15 million British travellers exchange sterling for foreign currency in any year, yet one in four of them admits they never convert their holiday cash back into GBP.
If you or your friends and family have any of the millions of pounds worth of forgotten foreign currency languishing at the bottom of suitcases or bedside cabinets, unlikely to ever see the light of day again, you could put it to good use by donating it to Naomi House Children's Hospice. Long after the tan has faded, your holiday money will be making a difference to children close to home. Perhaps you could set up a collection point at work or your church or social group?
This is a very easy way to convert the cash into much needed funds which will go towards paying our annual fuel bill of £18,000.We have collectors who will buy any unwanted foreign coins or notes, for the current market value. Even out of circulation currency can be collected to raise funds.
Your currency can be dropped off at any of our shops or at our Fundraising office at Winnall, Winchester. Alternatively you could phone the office on 01962 843513, to arrange a collection by one of our Community Volunteers from your area.
Collecting used stamps is a very simple way to make a great contribution to your local Children's Hospice, by letting us turn your rubbish into much needed funds.
Used stamps, both British and from overseas can be sold on by Naomi House to collectors or dealers who will pay up to £5.00 per kilo. The face value of the stamps makes no difference, your 1p stamp is just as valuable to us as your First Class one! Recently produced runs of stamps are also equally as valuable to our recycling initiative, as older ones.
Perhaps you could ask your family and friends to save their used stamps, or set up a collection point in your workplace? All we ask is that you leave a border around the stamp, ensuring it is intact. The more stamps you send us, the closer we can get to our recycling target which goes towards paying the £18,000 annual fuel bill.
In order to raise as much money as possible for Naomi House, we don't generally send thank you letters for your stamp donations. We are happy to send you a Recycling Poster to promote the campaign. If you would like one to display in your workplace, or other premises please call the Fundraising Office on 01962 843513.
Your used stamps can be dropped off at any of our shops, or the Fundraising Office at Winnall. Or you can simply send them to us at Naomi House Fundraising, Unit 3 Sun Valley Business Park, Winnall, Winchester, Hampshire SO23 0LB.
It's very easy to do your bit to help protect the environment whilst raising much needed funds for Naomi House. Every year over 30 million inkjet cartridges are disposed of in the UK alone. Each one of these cartridges, which is estimated to take 1000 years to decompose, adds approximately 3lbs further to landfill sites. It is estimated that one cartridge can be reused somewhere between 3 to 7 times! It's easy to see how much difference we can make by recycling.
If you use a fax machine or printer at home, or work in a busy office generating lots of empty cartridges, our recycling campaign offers you a free way to dispose of your rubbish whilst turning it into treasure.
By recycling these cartridges you can be part of a fundraising initiative which benefits everybody in the simplest way. On collection by the recycling company, we are paid a rate per different type, which earns us on average, 75p per cartridge. This goes some way towards paying the £18,000 annual fuel bill for Naomi House.
Your printer cartridges can be dropped off at any of our shops and the Fundraising Office at Winnall, Winchester. Or by phoning Fundraising on 01962 843513, you can arrange to be set up as a recycling collection point. Perhaps you can invite your colleagues or employers to take part in this initiative?
